At App de Bock, we keep this website as quiet as we can. This policy explains what happens to your data when you visit appdebock.nl or email us, in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What we collect and why

A. Visiting the website

We collect nothing ourselves. There is no account system, no form, no analytics script and no tag manager on any page.

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, receives the standard details every web server sees when your browser asks for a page: your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser’s user agent. Cloudflare uses these to deliver the site and protect it against abuse.

  • Purpose: to serve the website securely and reliably.
  • Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

B. Emailing us

When you write to info@appdebock.nl, we receive your email address and whatever you put in your message.

  • Purpose: to read and answer your message.
  • Legal basis: our legitimate interest in replying to you, or steps towards a contract if you ask us about work.

3. Data retention

  • Request logs: kept by Cloudflare for a limited period under its own retention policy. We do not export or keep them.
  • Email: kept for as long as we need it to handle your message and any follow-up. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

4. Cookies and local storage

This website sets no cookies.

It stores one value in your browser’s localStorage, under the key adb-theme, and only if you use the light/dark switch. It remembers your choice so the page does not flash the wrong theme on your next visit. If you switch back to the theme your device already uses, the value is removed. It never leaves your browser, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Because this value only exists to provide a feature you asked for, it does not require your consent.

5. Third-party service providers

We do not sell your data. We only rely on these providers:

  • Hosting: Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare is a US-based company. Transfers outside the European Economic Area are protected by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

Everything else on the page, including fonts, images, scripts and stylesheets, is served from appdebock.nl itself. No request goes to a font CDN or any other third party.

Some pages link to other websites, such as the apps we build. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

6. Your rights as a data subject

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access: you can request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification: you can ask us to correct inaccurate information.
  • Right to erasure: you can ask us to delete your data, such as an email you sent us.
  • Right to restriction and objection: you can object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
  • Right to data portability: you can request your data in a machine-readable format.

7. Security

All traffic to this website is encrypted with TLS. The site is a set of static files with no database or login, so there is no stored visitor data to breach.

8. Lodging a complaint

If you believe our processing of your personal data infringes the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the Netherlands, this is:
